Ludus: Creating and Developing a Model for Preschool Physical Activity, Sports, and Play Program<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ludus is a project aimed at creating and developing a model for preschool physical activity, sports, and play programs. Formed with the participation of sports scientists, educators, and relevant stakeholders, the project’s objective is to develop a unique “Preschool Physical Activity, Sports, and Play Program” model for Turkey. The model is intended to be implemented as a pilot program in Istanbul and then expanded more widely.<\/p>\n

Contributing to the upbringing of healthy generations…<\/p>\n

Our goal is to contribute to the establishment of a sports culture in Turkey and the development of structures that nurture competent and healthy generations through the development and implementation of fun physical activity and sports programs for the preschool age group (1-6 years). Physical activity and sports based on entertainment during the preschool period not only contribute to the well-being and health of children but also help them better understand and engage in these activities, leading to lifelong positive effects.<\/p>\n

Increasing social awareness…<\/p>\n

Additionally, such physical activities during the preschool period contribute to the creation of transferable knowledge and skills, such as teamwork and fair play. They also aid in developing respect, increasing physical and social awareness, and understanding the rules of the game.<\/p>\n

Early acquisition of fundamental skills helps children better understand the value of these activities in their later education and in their adult lives, during work and leisure.<\/p>\n

The positive impact of physical activity and sports on a child’s well-being, personal development, and socialization has increased the importance of developing and implementing programs based on entertainment and movement during the preschool period.<\/p>\n

Step by step with Ludus…<\/p>\n

As the first step, a pilot program for the Preschool Physical Activity Program will be prepared and implemented to test Ludus. Since Ludus is a multinational project, each project partner will plan and coordinate an online pilot learning activity using their interactive web platform in their own country.<\/p>\n

As SPORTS VOLUNTEERS ASSOCIATION (TRSGD), we will implement the pilot program both online and through traditional learning methods.<\/p>\n

As the Turkish branch of Ludus, before the pilot implementation, we, like every project partner, will organize local awareness seminars for target groups.
