Koral Berkin Kutlu was born in Istanbul in 2005. He was born without one arm and one leg, and his other leg has bone and finger deficiencies. Due to pressure from other parents at school, he faced challenges because of his disability and was directed towards swimming. In a short period of one year, he achieved first place in the Inter-School Turkey Swimming Championship and the Physically Disabled Turkey Championship. In 2017, he became the Turkey Champion again, becoming the youngest athlete to surpass the World and Olympic Qualification.

Recently, Berkin won a silver medal in the European Paralympic Youth Games 2nd League in Finland and Berlin in the 50m butterfly.

As the Sports Volunteers Association, we are delighted to support Berkin’s achievements.
