Senem Ülker, who started her swimming career at the age of 11 in Göztepe Club, transferred to Kınalıada Water Sports Club in 1987. Between 1983-1990, she represented the Turkish National Team in various championships. In 2012, she started her master swimming career at Karşıyaka Water Sports Club and continues at Marathon Masters club.
How did she join Sports Volunteers?
“Swimming has added a lot to my life and career. Today, 88% of the society does not engage in sports. We are a very inactive community. I joined sports volunteers to spread sports to a wider audience in society, to bring sports into people’s lives.”

Born on July 6, 1971, in Stuttgart, Senem Ülker is a graduate of the Textile Engineering Department at Albstadt Ebingen University in Germany. She has been pursuing her professional career since 1995 and currently serves as the Retail Director at Hugo Boss Retail Company. She is also a mother to an 11-year-old boy named Ata.
