World Records

  • On October 12, 2006, 50,000 people (mostly children and primary school teachers) in the Netherlands jumped rope in 335 schools within 30 seconds.
  • On March 24, 2006, a record was set in the United Kingdom and Ireland with a strong participation. 7632 children from 85 different countries jumped rope for 3 minutes. This achievement was made possible through the participation and efforts of the British Rope Skipping Association and entered the Guinness Book of World Records. They achieved 262 jumps per minute.
  • On June 25, 2006, Tori Boggs (USA) set two world records at the Junior National Championships.
  • On June 20, 2005, in the state of Alaska, USA, Isabel Bush successfully jumped rope 151,036 times continuously for 24 hours.
